As part of the promotion of her new film, ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’ Karla is gracing the February issue of Glamour Mexico. The photographs were taken by Frankie Batista. I’ve added the outtakes and the cover to the gallery and as soon as I get the scans those will be added as well.
GLAMOUR — The first time I interviewed Karla Souza was for the second season of Niño Santo. By then, the world already knew (and loved) her, as she starred in Los Nobles, one of the highest grossing films in Mexico, that catapulted her career to the top.
A few years later we speak again, now as our cover girl in Glamor, and Karla is a different woman. Currently, her work schedule is divided between Mexico and the United States, she is married, she has become a source of total inspiration (if you need a confidence boost, do not miss her TED Talk, “Sweets are the fruits of adversity” ), Has more than one million followers together on Twitter and Instagram, who follow her adventures closely; Is in the series How To Get Away With Murder, where he works with producer Shonda Rhimes and Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis and, if that were not enough, she starred in the blockbuster Mexican film of 2016, ‘¿Qué Culpa Tiene el Niño?’ Unstoppable, the year begins with the film ‘Everybody Loves Someone’, directed by Catalina Aguilar Mastretta; A romantic comedy that talks about saying goodbye to the past to bring in the new (it will sound easy, but it is one of the most difficult things in life).
In short, everything in her panorama is brilliant (and to think that she still have a long way to go!). Yes, Karla has changed. But from the first time I spoke to her, to this day, what remains the same is her quest to perfect her work, to be happy and the world to be proud of her. And she has succeeded.
